Draft Competency Standards - receival, sampling & testing of grain
The GTA Trade Rules refer to “qualified persons” in regards to sampling and testing of grain at receival.
GTA established a sub committee of the Standards Committee to develop a set of competency standards that members could use when developing courses for employees in regards to sample stand operations. Industry personnel passing a course that uses these, or similar, competency standards would be classified as “qualified persons”.
This work was done in conjunction with NSW TAFE and the DRAFT units have now been adopted by Agrifoods Skills Australia as part of a new training package for the preparation, use and management of grain storage facilities.
This group of five units spans from Level 2 (supervised worker) to Level 5 (manager).
