 ASX Clear (Futures) Derivatives Account Segregation and Portability – Question and Answer Session

ASX is today pleased to announce the arrangements for an upcoming Question and Answer (Q&A) session on Derivatives Account Structure and Portability.

This Q&A session has been arranged to provide context and answer any questions interested parties may have in relation to the ASX Market Discussion Document on Derivatives Account Structure and Portability released on 25th October (please see ASX Clearing Corporation Participant Notice No. 89). This session has been scheduled for the 28th November at 20 Bridge Street, Sydney from 4:30pm to 5:30pm and will be held directly prior to the ASX 24 Customer Forum.

The speakers for the Q&A session will include Ms Sarah Harris, Senior Manager of the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Payments Policy Department, Mr Rohan Delilkhan, ASX General Manager Derivatives and OTC Markets and Mr Paul Jones, ASX General Manager Clearing Risk Policy. The main topics to be covered in this session will include:

• the international regulatory environment and the impact on the Financial Stability Standards,

• ASX client clearing initiatives, and

• key areas in the ASX Market Discussion Document and any questions from the audience.

EXTENSION OF DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS

Due to the significance of the issues contained in the Discussion Document and the response received to date, ASX has decided to extend the due date for submissions to Friday 14th December 2012. ASX is also available to hold bilateral discussions with interested parties to answer any further questions.
