The GTA Annual Report is now available
The Australian Grain Industry Code of Practice has been developed to promote the use of best management practice by all industry participants throughout the supply chain.
The new GTA Trade Rules have been approved by the GTA Board and will take effect on 1 October 2012.

"Cooperation across all sectors of the Australian grain industry has been a feature of the activities of the Port Access Code of Conduct Development Committee (CDC)," said the Committee Chairman, Mr Tom Keene.

In February 2012, industry formed the CDC to facilitate the development of a port access Code of Conduct. The development of a Code is in line with recommendations of the Productivity Committee, and the government’s response.

Grain Trade Australia (GTA) is proposing that a voluntary levy on grain exports be introduced to fund post farm-gate grain industry development functions and has released a discussion paper on the issue.

GTA has released a discussion paper regarding the future funding of industry development functions. It seeks industry and government feedback by 3 Aug 2012.
