GTA Professional Development Program Course Information

This information applies to all GTA courses.

A stand-alone course for people seeking to enhance their skills; or
As a key module of the industry accredited Certificate Course in Professional Grain Trading (GTA).

You have to sit and pass the assessment in order to pass the course – attending a workshop is not completion of the course.
Assessments will be conducted for all courses during late October each year.
To do the assessment you must sit for it on the nominated date at a venue nominated by you (including your workplace). The date will be announced by GTA. Assessment registration forms will not be sent before 1 July each year.
Assessment is offered on all GTA core subjects and is designed to replicate workplace conditions.
All assessments will be open book.
The cost of assessment for the 2011 program is $220 per subject if you have completed the course or $330 for those people who choose to undertake the assessment without having attended the course.

If you have completed training of a similar nature to any of the GTA core subjects you may be able to obtain credit for the course should you wish to attain the Professional Certificate in Grain Marketing.
Current industry personnel who wish to satisfy the assessment for any of the subjects leading to the Professional Certificate are able to sit for the assessment without attending the workshops at a cost of $330 (for the 2011 program).

GTA will only conduct courses if minimum numbers are obtained (a minimum of 10 participants is required).
Therefore, refunds will only be granted where the cancellation occurs at least 14 days prior to the event.
